Hello :)

I'm Tina Orr, an artisanal baker based in Toronto and MOONBEAMS + MARIGOLDS is my cookie and gifting company. The name is inspired by my children, whose Korean names refer to the sky and nature.

Starting from childhood, my education in visual art, the history of art, and classical music has given me a lifetime of training and appreciation for all things well-crafted and beautifully executed.

My passion for creating art is rivalled only by my love of good food. Growing up in my Korean family's Italian deli business in Corso Italia, the joy of eating was the best part of daily life. A shared love of well-made food gave us community and purpose.

After toying for many years with the idea of starting a venture that brings together my passion for art and food, I'm thrilled to finally be in business, handcrafting artful, gourmet cookies that taste as good as they look. 

I make cookies from scratch, in small batches, using simple, quality ingredients. My recipes are inspired by classic recipes, global flavours, fine art and the natural world. I combine the principles of good baking with the sensibilities of an artist, so that flavour, texture, colour and proportion all work together to create an experience that is both delicious and visually striking. 

MOONBEAMS + MARIGOLDS is also DineSafe certified. This means your order is prepared with the utmost care at a licensed and inspected professional kitchen.
